Mother and Father know best

Remember back in the day, we used to get in so much trouble for eating in the family room? We'd always say, "but I won't spill, Dad." He'd reply, " of course you will, you always do." And by some force of nature, some freak accident would always occur and food would be spilt.
Now that I'm a homeowner and realize carpet is a beast to keep clean, I try to be more careful about those kinds of things. I don't often eat in carpeted areas of our home, and I take extra precautions when I do.
Well, the other day, I had a busy morning and was exhausted. I put Caleb down for a nap, made myself a bowl of delicious chicken and dumpling soup and headed down to the computer to do some googling while Caleb slept. I hit the first step of the stairs and that wonderful force of nature previously mentioned stepped into my like. I fell down the stairs. Besides a carpet burn on my middle toe, me and the baby are fine. My carpet, that is another story. Soup was everywhere! In my hair, all over my face, on the walls, ALL over my carpeted stars. First things first, I made some toast. It was already 2 hours after the normal time I eat lunch and I was famished. Then I began the wonderful 2+ hours of cleaning up chicken and dumplings. I was going to take a picture but couldn't find the camera. It really was a sight to see.
Moral of the story: Faja and Maja know best.

Christmas Program

Kraig has this really AWESOME Christmas song that i would like him to play on Christmas Eve. He said he would but there is a catch..... he doesn't want to be the ONLY person doing something (weird huh) so he said that the only way he would perform is if EVERYONE participated!!!!!! Yep you heard me EVERYONE has to do something. Now i know that not all of us have something that they can "perform" , but guess what i dint care! It doesn't matter what you do during Christmas Eve as long as you do something. You could read a story, tell a random Christmas fact, or anything that you can think of. It doesn't even have to be Christmas related. You could do a slide show, a puppet show...but please no peep shows!!!! David you could bring your mandolin...Storey and Caleb could draw a picture. I just think it would be really fun to have everyone do something. And i would love to help out in any way that i can! If you really wanted to you could even do lots of things :) I am just sooooo excited for Christmas! oh BTW Josh and Karina you can still do stuff even though you wont be with us... (tear tear) you could send in a picture, or a story or something! i love you all and cant wait to see you!
